Climactic Parallelism

  The 2nd line repeats the 1st line with the exact same words plus a conclusion.
  Climactic parallelism combines synonymous and formal parallelism. The B-line echoes
     part of the A-line, then adds a phrase that develops the meaning and completes the sense.

 Examples

  Psalm 29:1

     Ascribe to the Lord, O Sons of the mighty,
     Ascribe to the Lord, [O sons of the might] glory and strength.

  Psalm 93:3
     The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
     The floods have lifted up [O Lord] their voice,
     The floods lift up their pounding waves.

  Psalm 96:1-2a
     Sing to the Lord a new song;
     Sing to the Lord, all the earth.
     Sing to the Lord, bless His name;

[all of the above is a direct quote from Module 7, BE 101, Parallelism Notes, 3]
